Default What to do with my new 99 GST.

I have a new 1999 Eclipse GS-T Spyder: Convertible FWD model equipped with a 210 hp turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine. The car has 160,000 miles on it and the previous owner took really good car of it.

I want to jump on the bandwagon of modding, and wonder where I should start first, after I take care of all the tune-up items?

Well there are some very basic bolt on mods that is what i think everyone should start with. The obvious being to get an intake. Then probably a good catback exhaust. You could go all out on that and get the turboback, but thats really all on how much you can spend. Then an easy mod that will really give you a nice HP gain is to get a boost guage and a manual boost controller.

i'd make sure that your internals are in good shape. do a comp test and find out what you're reading. from there, you can decide on your upgrades.

well since someone mentioned checking compression. Check out this post that will give you some hints on other things to check as well before you mod your car. https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_69073/tm.htm
