what kind of motor do i have

Default what kind of motor do i have
i have a stock 1994 gs does any one know what type of motor i have? it says dohc 2000 on the valve covers if that helps

yes, in the GST and GSX, they were turbo motors

420a.
a '94 would be a 1G. the 1G doesn't come with a 420a. it could either be a 4G37(i think its the 1.8l) or the n/t 4G63. i think its the 4G63 since its DOHC.

yes, in the GST and GSX, they were turbo motors
the 1G also came with a non-turbo 4G63

you are correct..sorry abotu that.

after some looking around, it has to be a 4g63, as the 420a came out in 95, and the g637 was only a 1.8 liter, and only came in the cordia.

ive seen a couple of 90-91 eclipses with a 1.8l 4g37 in it on some other forums.

hmm...interesting...that means that my info is incorrect. do you know that they didnt swap that motor in? the 4g37 was an 8 valve 1.8, while the 4g67 was a 16 valve 1.8

No I have seen a few 1Gs with a 1.8 as well.
