Default What psi is safe on 97 Gst?

hello, i recently got a mbc for my 97 eclipse gst, i believe its a 7-bolt, it has a 1st gen turbo(Tdo5h), custom air filter, cat back exhaust and thats about it. it sits on 8 psi stock right now, so i was wondering what a safe boost would be, i was thinking around 12 but do you guys think thats too much?

Before you raise the boost pressures, get a boost gauge. The stock one isn't accurate enough, so don't settle with what it gives you.

And yes 12psi is fine. You can actually run 15psi safely

You might wannainvest inan aftermarket BOV cause the stock BOV (blow off valve) wont hold any higher than 12psi.

If your gonna run 15 psi I would highly suggest rewiring the fuel pump.

I would NEVER run 20psi on a stock T25...needsagst....what are you thinking? haha. You really shouldnt be running any more than 17psi on that stock turbo because its useless.

But to really just givea staight answer to the OP as far as what to run right now...i say 15psi. I ran that every day onmy stock talon (all i had was a BOV)

The stock 14b can handle 18psi all day w/o any problems, you can run more but its not really doing much. But on a stock fuel system 14-15psi is fine like what TE said.
