I have a 1997 eagle talon tsi...I having problems and i cant figure out why..When imdriving the battery light anti lock brake and e brake will come on.if i put it in nuetral or hit a bump they go off but as soon as i put in back in a gear light come on again...And when idrivin my car is not running at normal temp.i just put anti frezze in it it cooled down but then it went right back..it will get to a temp and then just say there.. but it is still running hottter then normal if any one a suggestions or has had this problem please help...

 

well the light comming on are probably an electrical issue. Something may be grounding out. Is this a manual or automatic?

As for the overheating issue. It could be numorous things. But i would start with bleeding the coolant system

 

Loose connection maybe.. or alternator. Don't those indicator light go on when the alternator is no good. When i went over deep puddle and since idont have the splash shield i get those light appearing and flickering when water splashes onto it. Simple check is to check ur battery voltage to see if the alternator charging your battery.

 

its a manual....and some oil did get on my alternator....im guessin thats it......

 

you can take the car to autozone and they will test the alternator for free

 

Could be just a bad ground.

 

i had the same problem on my toyota paseo, the problem was when i was pulling old wire from my speakers, i accidently pulled a ground that was for my charging system. even tho my battery charged i would get all those light signals and it would scare the creep out of me. so i would say check all grounds first, then do the bigger stuff ^^ my 2 pennies.
