hey guys. I was just thinking today, why exaclty is it so bad to vent? I am not doing it, I am just wandering. I am just curious I guess. But why is it bad to vent with a MAF? What will it do? Anything bad? Will something break? I just want to know...

I dont think anything will break but, the ecu measures the air coming in, and adds gas for the air that is being recirculated. If that air isnt there, it will go rich for a moment because the ecu still adds the gas. There is a possiblity that the car could stall, maybe even at high speeds which is dangerous, and you lose some performance.

In other words causes idle to be irratic and possible stall out at idle... and a little stumble between shifts.. plus running rich

i was venting mine and my car was running rich, and then when i put a tube from my BOV to my cold air it stopped running rich, and started to run a little better as well.
