Is there a non turbo hood? I thought all eclipse came with the spped bump. I also thought the speed bump was for the belt drive to fit or is it just for looks?

RE: WILL A NON TURBO HOOD FIT MY TURBO??
In the 1g cars the hood was so low that the bump was needed on the 4g63 to clear the timming gears, concquently all the cars got the bump for looks, when they made the second gens they wanted to keep the same selling aspect of the car, but give it a new look for the new gen of cars because frankly the 1g's look like turds... or saturns(no offense to 1g's I would sell my 420a for a 6 bolt in a hear beat) in creating the desgine of the new cars they wanted the name of the car to match it thus the bubble look of the car, which gave more room under the hood for the motor which made the bump usless but because the car didnt resemble the 1g's at all they transfered the bump which was proly one of the most unique hoods on the market at the time. It sounds a bit farfetched but the 3g's do the same thing with the front bumper its curved with a agressive mouth like shape similar to the 2g's, and again with the 4g's they kept they have a combo of 2g/3g tail lights and keep the buble look... mitsu purpuoslly modeled the 4g after the 2g( the 2g's experanced the best sales and were actually one of the most wanted turner cars of the late 90's) and the 3g's were a love it or leave it car.
