RE: is this worth buying? Help me out please
Yea I can't afford 9k right now. I've been able to talk the guy down to $6,800. I'm not looking for THE best build, but mainly something faster than the usual car out here, and that's attractive. I know of the scratch on the side. 14b turbo, small, but still works, no?

Cool. And can you answer my previous question? Do you think that with those mods, that this car will pass a smog test in Cali? I need to buy a California Certified OBD2 catalytic converter, and I'm getting hooked up with a Magnaflow Catalytic Converter that is Cali OBD2 Certified at a good price. But besides that, are there any other things on there that'll cause me problems with the smog test?

no. the car only has a test-pipe. he's in michigan. michigan doesnt have any laws for smog. puttin the California-Certified OBD2 Catalytic Converter should do the trick... or no? If not, What parts from that list will also give me a problem??

Looks can be decieving, but I would go for it to if I had
the money. Just make sure atleast your routine engine service
is up to par. If its going to be a daily driver make sure the A/C and
heat works, you know just your general luxuries that suits us on a
normal basis.

I'm gonna take the nuetral approach on this since you state the car is in Michigan and you're in California.
What if you get it and theres actually a major problem a week down the road?
You're now stuck withthe car that guy sold you AS IS (2 important words)and heis 2,500 miles away enjoying you're $7,000.
I'm weary.
I'm sure you could find a GST/GSX alot closer to you in just as good of condition.
