Thanks SpyderGS, I have an old Akimoto intake. Kinda wanted a INJEN or AEM short ram polished intake to improve the looks of my engine. In regards to AEM short ram intake on ebay, I think that shipped for under a $100 is a deal. Just check the sellers feedback rating. I usually don't buy from someone who has less than 95%, but that's just me. It's probably a company rather than a person. I say go for it. If you go with what SpyderGS says with the stock air intake, I'd buy a K&N air filter for the box, because it will still add a slight bit of horsepower.

In regards to FatalJRA and 1398, there were like only 2 companies that made intake systems for the 2g spyders. Injen made some prototypes, but felt that there wasn't as large a market for them to go full production. However, WeaponR did make a polished intake that will directly fit our cars. It was made for the 94-98 galants(i think, i can't remember the years exactly), and they can be found on eBay. But they're like $120 so.....

But they still look nice!

For the most part they will fit. The battery is located in different spot, but it's not that big of a deal. Also for the DOHC head swap, the t-belt from the 1994 galant DOHC is the only belt that will allow the swap to work. The 4g64 in the 1994 galant was the only DOHC 4g64 offered in the states and made about 160hp. However, the DOHC head from that galant is like the absolute worst choice for the head swap. The eclipse heads are way better and are more reliable. The galants and the eclipse's started out as different platforms, but as you can prolly see by now, they're basically the same thing. So i don't like to say this too much, but the 3g eclipse is more like a 2-door galant[&:]

But atleast in the 90's they were the same but different!
