hey ive been wanting to do a engine swap on my 01 rs. i want to get something thats well balances with torque and hp. what motors can be put in with out a crap load of engine work and relocation? thanks

the shop i go to, signal auto. said a 4g63 evo 8 motor will fit

well that shop doesnt know jack **** about eclipses then. the only way y our gonna get one of those to fit is with a crap-load of custom work, welding, cutting, etc. its not worth it by any means, if you want a fast car, buy a car thats made to go fast

Dude, you can put anything in the damn car with enough work.

Why would you want to spend 10k on a car worth maybe half that... all for not that much power.

you can swap and Evo head onto your block. Essencially all your block is, is just a stroker 4g63. Do some Evo 8 head swap research

but once again for the money it costs, its not gonna be worth it unless you feel like turboing your car also. but now your starting to get upwards of probably 6 or 7 grand if your gonna have a shop do it
