03 Eclipse GS 2.4L 5-Speed No spark on 1 coil
The other day i thought i ran out of gas cuz i was getting close and the car died on me while going down the road. I put gas in it and wouldn't start. Tried push starting it, popping the clutch and that didn't work either.
After getting it home and looking into it, I made sure i had fuel going to the fuel rail, which i do. I replaced my spark plugs cuz they looked bad anyway. I checked for spark on all 4 plugs and discovered that i don't have spark on cylinder's 1&4 which are fed from 1 coil. I flip flopped the coils to check if the coil was bad and i still had no spark on 1&4 with the good coil. I have 12V and a good ground at the wiring harness to the coil. However i don't have a way to test the triggering wire. I'm going to guess that the problem is in the triggering wire circuit but where do i begin?
Anyone have any advice? I don't believe its the cam or crank sensor because i probably wouldn't have spark at either of the coils if that was the case.
