Question 03 Eclipse Spyder - AC question

To all of you experts out there.
I have a 2003 Eclipse Spyder Convertible with a V6 engine in it with automatic transmission which I bought in January. Anyways, when I turn on the AC nothing but hot air comes out. I can tell you this:

When I push the button for AC, the engine cooling fans to go high speed (which I don't know if thats normal or not) and the clutch does engage and starts to spin. I also put a pressure gauge on the L side of the AC and it does NOT fluxuate. Its about 45 psi of pressure but never goes down or fluxuates. Owning a bunch of cars, it should cycle, but nothing is cycling.

So to my non-expert eyes, I would say that everything is working except for a valve to open up to allow the compressed R134 into the H side and into the evaporator. I don't know if this mystery valve exists on the condenser or if it exists in the compressor.

Any ideas? i checked my fuses but they seem to be fine.

Anyone have a wiring diagram? I'm really wondering if the fans should go to full speed when you turn on the AC. It seems odd.

Thank you kindly in advance!
David

Cool

Thank you Mike! Which manual do you refer to? Is there one manual better than another? My Chiltons manual mentioned not to do any AC work myself and mentioned to have a trained technician do it. lol. Which manual would you recommend?
Thank you kindly

Damn this looks like a PITA. Can you smack the expansion valve and maybe it will free up depending on what is going on? I've been trying to figure out too if I would need to remove the dash or not to get out the evaporator core. On my dodge caravan I had to remove the entire dash to the firewall, what a PITA-- took me three day! I hope I don't have to do that for this eclipse.
