I just recently bought my wife a 2000 eclipse 2.4L witha 5spd manual trasmission. When i bought it i noticed that the engine was misfiring so i checked all the sensor plugs, coils, spark plugs/wire, fuel and nothing. What i did notice is that when i unplug the injector that is next to the battery the car runs the same. I replaced injector and still no luck. Anyone have an idea or suggestion? I did notice rpm guague flickering to high rpms when idle

 

From checking every possible problem i finally went to the last resort. The ECU and guess what? It has 1-2 resistors burned on the board. My question now is, can i replace it with any other ECU from the same model even thou the coding on the case is not the same? MR420680 is the one i have currently. Would any MR work?

 

im pretty sure they are interchangeable, it will need to be off of the same type of car, cali spec or fed spec. and it will also need to be for the same type of transmission but im pretty sure they will work
