My wife with my mom driving home from grocery and wife called me to say the car wont start. she mentioned smoke coming from the dashboard which might be exaggerating.

Towed the car to my house and my dad told me it could be grounded. so I brought my scanner out the car wont start but I could still pull a code out. p1603 comes out. Recently it was throwing out p0304 I believe but its for evap recirculation that I ignore for a while. so I want to fix all these now but I got to fix the p1603 first because I could not start the car at all. could somebody help me? thanks. car seems to crank fast but just wont start at all. I tried to jump the car to see if its battery but it just would not start.

 

EDIT P0304 was a guess not the exact code I might be wrong.....but its for egr evap recirculation problem

Crankshaft Sensor wire wrapped around Harmonic balancer pulley
Towed Car to my house and installed new crankshaft sensor and wires. Car ran 3 miles and shutdown and would not start. Hand Scanner is throwing out P1603 code and it won't start
Recently scanner was throwing out 440 code however that cleared.
Need help with P1603 Code.
