I do not know the answer to your question but have one myself .. Have you changed the alternator .Answering your own post made me think you may be lonely.

 

As slow as this forum is, anyone on it would get lonely waiting for a reply.

But, yes, in 2016 I wound up replacing my alternator, and did it myself. This time my mechanic is going to do it after the 4th, and he is going to take care of the replacement under warranty from O'Reillys.
