Default Brake Rotors

Hi,

I own a 2000 2.4L Eclipse Coupe.
I need to change my brake rotors/pads, the steering wheel shakeds like crazy when I'm braking on the highway...

Any idea which brands are better than what?

I've looked at the Bendix Rotors as well as the Wearever Gold ones. Are these any good? I'm looking for something for normal street use, no heavy-duty stuff

Yeah...

These things are quite expensive [:'(]

I'd hate to have to buy those... I'm still trying to read more about the Bendix and Wearever Golds... If anybody can provide a reccomendation, it'd be great

Thanks!

Guys,

I've been looking at the "Advance Auto Parts" stores around me, none of them has Brembo rotors [:'(]

The only brands I could find are the following:
Bendix
Wearever
Raybestos
Beck/Arnley

Could you please tell me which one's the most durable? The guy at the store told me the Bendix are the best, even better than the Brembos. Is this true? Or is he just trying to sell me the Bendix rotors? He also told me the Brembos are more expensive than the Bendix and those are already $70 each [&o][&o][&o]

I was budgeting around $150 for all the parts including the pads... No it looks to me like I'm going to spend more like $250 on the parts alone!!

Please help!!

Done

The pads are up to you : )

Remember when getting new rotors/pads you have to bed them in. This means take it easy on them for a while. No sudden braking and no short braking.. brake gently and consistantly. Then get to the highway and go as quickly as you can and apply the brakes to slow the car down gradually... dont stomp on them. Then do this 4 or 5 times.

I had my mom finish putting on my brake pads and do the first break in run, (because I was barefoot and tired which meant to get into the driver seat I'd have to walk through gravel or stand on the concrete and get in the passenger side) So anyways, she proceeds to accelerate to 60, then STOMPS THE BREAKS untill the car comes to just about a complete stop!!!! I ripped her head off for the following 10 minutes and boi was I wide awake then...[:@]
