Newbe here.
I want to get a 2002 Eclipse gt manual. I was wondering What do you guys think. Is it a relyable. I was reading that they are not as good as the previous modells. I like the car and 200 hp is not mad at all.
The car I found has 50000 miles and it cost 9000 usd.
PLease let me know your opinion.

 

They are not bad cars. I have a friend who has a 2001 GT and she loves it. She let me drive it and I liked it. The only thing about 3rd Gens is that they don't have a whole lot of potential to be fast without spending alot of money. Thats why they are not as popular as previous models. Don't buy it if you want to throw thousands of dollars into it to make it fast. It wont be worth it. Buy an older 1990-1999 eclipse with a turbo if fast is what you want. But if you want a good looking daily driver, then buy it. $9000 is a good deal.

 

Thank You. I want to buy this for my whife. I drivea 2002 C 230. My whife was driveing a 2000 jetta. Last week someone came to me and offer me a good price on the jetta so I sold it. So now we need another car for her. I do not plan to invest any monney in it to make it faster than it is . I consider that 200 hp is plenty for her.

 

Then its a good choice. I'm sure she will like it alot more than the jetta.
