While driving my wifes 2001 Eclipse Spyder GT with the V6 and 5 speed i noticed that when I floored the accelerator it would rev just fine and then about 3500 rpm the clutch just let go and the engine pretty much free-wheeled. I tried testing the clutch to see if it was worn out (62,000 miles) and it passed the test and the engine died upon engagement in 4th gear. Is there some kind of clutch adjustment that I should be performing?
