You can test this by idling the engine of the vehicle in park and the A/C off. The fan should cycle on when the temperature gauge reads between 1/2 and 2/3. If it fails to do so, you will need to diagnose why. There are three main components in the electric cooling fan system. The thermal fan switch, fan relay, and fan motor itself. The first thing to do is check all the fuses under the hood with the ignition on using a test light; there should be power to both sides of all fuses. If the fuses are good and the fan does not work, unplug the connector at the fan motor and connect a multimeter or test light. Idle the engine until the gauge reach just below 3/4 and watch for a 12V signal. If you have 12V, the fan is the likely culprit and should be replaced. If you don't have voltage to the fan, do the same test, but look for voltage to the fan relay. If you don't have voltage to the relay, replace the fan switch.

Yup...I Have tested for 12 volts at the fan power wires. they have power to the relay on the left fan. There is a small wire in the conector with no power even when engine at full temp. I have tryed to find a diagram of the components and havent had any luck. I know where the sender for the temp gauge is but I don't know where the fan switch is on this engine. I know this also has a ac system signal and that dosen't work either. I know the right fan works but there is no way to test the left fan with its relay mounted to the motor. I need a drawing of components. I am a Master RV Tech and can repair anything if I have the correct info...
