i drive a 2004 outlander w a 4G64 engine and the cooling fan always stays on even after turning off the engine. is this normal? It usually stays on for about 2-3seconds then shuts off

nope. check your dealer, there was a recall on that part.

Are you sure your 2004 is a 4g64? I thought only 2003's were 4g64's and 2004's got the 4g69 mivec.
