Hi,

My UK 08 Outlander Diamond has the PSA 2.2 Diesel Engine. On occasion, before the engine is fully warmed up, the radiator fans kick in and the engine tone changes in pitch. It's as if it was overheating and the ECU was kicking in the fans and changing the fuel injection settings to compensate.

I've had the dealer check it today and they said they couldn't recreate the problem - but it did it again on the way home apart from the last mile when the fans stopped and the engine pitch returned to normal. At no time had the temperature indicator or other indicators on the dash indicate a problem.

Does anyone have a clue as to what this might be?
