Daughters 2002 V-6 auto ECLIPSE still down
Posted last week about my daughters ECLIPSE stopped running during wet weather.I thought it might have been the wires ,rotor, cap, etc. , but its been warm all week and I just changed the cap and rotor and it still won't start! I bought an ACTRON OBD2 scanner and hooked it up, but it did'nt show anything wrong. Would an OBD2 scanner pick up a bad ECM ? How could I test for a bad ECM? Any other things I should check (coil, sensors.ets) .
I had a vehicle do the exact same thing. OBD reader found nothing. Fuel pump wouldn't get power. Would turn over, but no start. Found out that it was the crankshaft position sensor. Read the Hanes manual for it. I bet that's the situation.
