Default daytime running lights Question

I have a 2000 eclipse gs, i live in canada were its law to have day time running lights. I was wondering if the car is supose to have daytime running lights or not. Because my car's low beams are on all the time even when i have the head light switch turned off. If you have the close the the same year, would you please let me know if your car's low beams are on if the headlight switch is off. thanks

It sounds like you answered your own question. If its the law there to have the DRL theyll be sold with them there andonno matter what. Though, I can tell you the US version, does not have DRLs.
