Engine change tuning issues
Hi, I have a 2002 Spyder GS and bought it from a friend who had changed out the 3.0, ( blown ), for a 3.5 from a Diamante of the same year. I'm sure I have to use Diamante parts, plugs, cap, rotor, etc. but dont I have to get the ecm set for that engine as well? The computer is set for the old engine I'm sure. Anything else I have to donwould be most helpful... Thank you!
Well ut would have the mivec so if you want to capitlilze on that you would have to probably add an aftermarket unit...as for everything else it would have a longer stroke so you would have to adjust ignition timings, compression would be different so have to adjust stoichemistry, have to adjust maf as would use more air, adjust cam position, and maybe some other randoms like iac amounts, abs stuff or oil pressures
