RE: Fair trade in price??
I bought my manual 02 GT from a buy here pay here lot and had to pay out like 10-11k soo yeah, sell yours for like 6k privately and the diff will be way worth it, and make sure you get a warrenty of some sort off of the dealer because more than likely you'll find a lot of any little problems within the first 7k miles of driving it.

deffinitely wanna shop around and argue the price, i just got my 01 GT for 8,500 and 67k on it. Same car you're lookin at, less miles and lower on the price. This is my first dealer-bought car but ive dealt with motorcycle dealers alot(more of a biker type guy). never tell them your interested in a trade right off the bat, theyre less likely to go down in price

Wow there is a tremendous price difference between our locations I live in NC and I got an 01 GT with premium package (you can tell if there is a C5 in the vin #) and ithad 42,352 miles on it for 11,625 and I sold a 99 Saturn (pos) to the dealer that I was originally going to get a GT from for 2,100 I think you should definitely get more money for your car because the 4 cylinders are more reliable than the six.

Well I talked to the guy at the dealership again, and he agreed that their trade in sucked, so he told me I should just sell privately also, and that i should be able to get at least 6 or 7k for it instead of the 1.5k they were gonna give.
