Default Is this a good idea/deal?

My friend has a 2000 GS that he got into an accident with and bent the frame in front. He's going into the Air Force in a few weeks and he's looking to get rid of it for like anything. He offered it to my 16 year-old brother for $700. Is this a good idea?It has 75k on it. I've heard that you shouldn't really mess with cars with bent frames, but for $700 as a first car for my brother, isit a good idea to just buy it and get it bent back?

If it isn't too much, is it a good idea? I called my cousin who works for Toyota and has been working on/modding his own cars for years what he thought and he said that once a car's frame has been bent, a car will never be the same. He said that it can be ok or it can be horrible, but bottom line is that it will never be the same.
