headlight help!!
just bought a 2002 RS and the headlights are horrible! I'm thinking its b/c they are kinda foggy and scratched but they really don't look that bad. I can't drive at night without my brights on and they even suck. The cars coming toward me don't even flash me to turn the brights off. Its really scary b/c my 15yr old daughter is about to get her license and start driving the car. Should I just buy new headlight covers??

you can get a polishing kit for about 15 bux to clean them up. I used to use chrome polishing wadding to clean the lights before they came out with the kits - which I have never used but would guess they would do better since they are purpose built. Many auto parts stores have the headlight refreshing kits.
New lights are hundreds of dollars unless you can find someone here selling some.

you can polish them. But be sure to heat them and open the headlight and polish the inside as well. normally you can head them in an oven and the plastic lense just pulls off when the seal is heated up.
You can also but Depo projectors which are a much better upgrade but slightly expensive

yea you can either polish them or buy new ones. i think meguiars makes a good headlight polishing kit.
if you want to buy some new ones you can get some new ones on ebay, i bought some several years ago and the light output is much better then the stock lights, it was like $140 to get them. mine were sonars, there is also depo's, anzo's and the dual halo's are not recommended, the other 3 are fine

Not really. These cars also have an issue with the headlights being dim intermittently. Which is caused by melted connectors. Alot of the common issues can be found here

Hi,
I'm Chris. I just changed the headlights of my 2001 Eclipse Spyder few months ago. They look awsome, way better than the original factory especially after they got dull. The deal was really good so got a second set. Original price is over $250 for the pair, but I'm willing to sell them for $150 plus shipping. I just put my car for sale on Craigslist LA so I won't need the second pair after all. You can check my ad on online and see the head lights in the picture posted.

Thanks,

you should check out Headlight Restoration Service ( www.hrslights.com ). I have used them in the past and my headlights are now like brand new. I hope this helps.
