Hi there -

I have a 2000 Eclipse GS and the high beams dont turn off now... If i pull it toward the steering wheel slightly, they shut off but i gotta hold the stick with my hand.. they stay on even with I turn off the car... any idea why they wont turn off?

 

they could be grounded. it would explain the reason that they are still on after the car is turned off.

 

i believe its a power side switch. chances are your switch is dead and needs replaced. its kinda hard to diagnose electrical problems without the car in front of me tho
