How to remove counter balance shaft mitsubishi 2002 ecplipse
I have already removed timing belt and that timing belt B (which goes over that balance or counter balance shaft ...not the oil sprocket ) ...now obviously the counter balance shaft is rotating with the screw...I actually found that previous owner/mechanic did a mistake and that mark was not aligned with notch on the block..so I want to see the condition of shaft and bearing and if that makes noise ...
Is there any other option than using that special tool MD998785 to hold the shaft while I remove the nut
