Default Introduction and questions

Hi all,
Just joined the forum and have a few questions. I'm looking at a 2001 Spyder gt convertible with 42,000 miles for 13,000. I think thats a pretty good deal. The car is silver, automatic and is really good condition. Are there any certain things I need to look for and be concerned about? From what I've read these cars run forever. I'm really not into performance, just want something comfortable and sharp looking. I do have one concern, the cover for the top is missing. I did a search and no luck finding any info on replacement. Any ideas where I can get one? Thanks everyone and I look forward to joining the Spyder family.

that is a good deal or about average. I bought my old spyder it was an 02 GT with all options and had 32K on it I paid $15900 for it a year ago. I traded it in with 45K on it and the dealer sold it for more than I paid for it to begin with. They gave me $12500 as a trade and sold it for $16995 with 45K

Thanks guys for your response. I found a boot cover on ebay for 150.00 Also saw a cool fiberglass piece that fits over the back seat to give it a roadster look. Anyone familar with it? Would love to see some pics of it on a car. Kinda looks like it would give it a Solstice look with the 2 humps. Sweet.

If your gonna pay that price tell the dealer that you want them to order you a new cover for it... They have enough of a mark up to do that much for you...

There is a yellow 3g that runs around cincinnati that has the piece you are talking about that goes behind the seats. It looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. If the one you are looking at is good quality, I strongly recommend getting it and having it painted to match your car. I'll try to find a picture of it for you and post it up of what this yellow 3g looks like.
