Have spun bearing and found it chewed up on oil pan ... so rebuilding engine so have few questions.. please note that when I was moving crankshaft manually it was still making hissing sound so I believe compression should be ok..??correct me if am wrong.

1. which brand rod and main bearing set I should buy? or does it matter if I buy on eBay ...just generic brand?

2. Should I buy standard size bearings set or littler over sized? I don't think anything wrong with pistons

3. should I take block to machine shop to figure out what else is anything wrong with it?I know u would say but it costs a lot of money...so wondering if its really necessary?

4. Can I reuse head gasket and bolts?

5. Should I change rear main bearing seal set as well ..if so again any brand on eBay ?

6.Any other suggestions?
