Default Need help selecting an engine for my 2003 Eclipse GTS

Ok, so the engine in my 2003 Eclipse GTS has a cracked head due to a long story because the previous owner was a first class idiot. I am going to go with a used low mileage engine and have found several for automatic transmission cars (my car is a manual) but none I want to buy for manual cars. Is there a difference between the manual 3.0 V6 engine and the automatic ones?

According to my Haynes Manual there is no difference between the heads on a manual / automatic . They are the same.

Yes, I am inquiring about the block more so. I want to keep this car OEM as possible. I ha e been told the crankshaft in the automatic is different than the ones for manual cars.

I may be wrong but I dont see any difference in the crank . You may get a quick answer to this question by going to your local parts source and ask the guy at the counter or buy yourself a manual .
