I've got a 2001 Spyder that quit on my drive home from Tahoe. Car suddenly began to spudder and loose power. Checked gauge and temp was approching red. Pulled over and had car towed to nearest gas station. Discovered bottom radiator hose had blown off. Re-connected and refilled, but car would not turn over. Pushed it and popped the cluch and it fired up. Drove fine for 10 miles and then got hot again. Turned on heater full blast and cooled a bit, but then temp crept up again. Pulled over and car died. Let it cool some, replaced fluid and tried to start. Would not start, but was able to pop clutch and start again. Drove 3 miles to next exit and was getting hot again. Pulled to a stop and car died. No water in oil, no oil in water as best I can tell. Came back next day, refilled fluids, replaced thermostat. Would not start, would not jump start. Had towed to civilization. Seemed like it was not getting spark, but that seems unrelated to overheating. Your thoughts?
