hey guys just bought a '00 eclipse gt 5spd.and a couple of problems im having are as follows: any input is appreciated-

car makes a "creaking noise" that comes from the engine when in motion, and vibrates heavily when executing left turns and hard on the gas------people have told me these two things are due to a passenger side engine mount?? Any other ideas or anyone agree? If this is so how much would it be to have a mechanic repair this?

my "service engine light" came on two days after i got the car and autozone scanned it and said "sparkplugs"-----does that mean they need to be replaced, are gapped wrong, or something else?is there anyway this can be a big problem cause he said it like it was nothing, and the light is still on steady too so the problem isnt going away, car isnt driving any different really, a little rough when started up for the first start of the day thats it.

i agree with what they told you about the motor mounts. if you have a shop do it they will probably charge about 200 bucks, just a guestimate... and as for the spark plugs, just go to autozone or napa and get a set of ngk spark plugs, they are great plugs and they will only run you about 15 bucks for all of them

 

Or if they are just gapped wrong.. have someone gap them

 

the shaking could be due your left router being worn.. happened to mine
