Not sure If I am going to spend the money.
I'm still not sure if I should get my timing belt or 60,000 maintence done. I would like to use the $1,300 for something else. Most of my friends are telling me they never got that done in any of the cars they ever owned. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be great. If it wasn't so much money I would get it done rite away. Not sure what to do

I know someone with a kia and did not do the tb at 100,000 KM and at 150,000 it broke and now she is looking at a 7000.00 repair bill to fix the vehicle. Mine is at 60,000 Miles and I am doing it right after xmas. Found out it is a lot cheaper to get it done at a garage instead of a dealer.

i didnt do mine in my GS guess what I paid for it. It shredded while going 40MPH and I had to pull the head and have it rebuilt only cost me $500 but I did all the labor. TE did the same on his talon and he had mitsu do it and he paid around $2200 for them to do the same job. Now on a GT you got two heads alot more labor time and more valves your looking closer to $3000 to fix when you could have just done the simple thing and had them change it in the begining

yeah i don't get why you even bother asking. unless your selling the car it's only a given that you HAVE to do it. and please don't say you wanna use the money to put upgrades in your car cuz that would just be ironic cuz it'll blow either way if you don't do the tb and 60k
