Starting Problem?

Default Starting Problem?

I have an 03 Gs and it wont start when the car is in park.. i have to put it in neutral to start the car.. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows what it is?

An automatic doing this? Thats wierd.. Never heard of it.

Atually it MAY be quite simple. It may be a bad safety switch linked to the shifter. A micro switch not getting tripped in park but the one for neutral works.

Yea.. Its under warranty so it doesnt really matter. I was just wondering what was wrong with it.

Well your tech should tell you what the problem is if you ask.

Sounds like a bad inhibitor switch or one that is way out of adjustment. The Mitsu scan too can tell the servicing technician what position the PCM thinks the shifter is in. It will also be able to determine if it's just way out of position. Good luck!

hell....since its under warranty, just take it to the dealership and let them find out what the problem is.
