stock intake

Default stock intake
I have a stock 2000 Eclipse GT. Is there any way to modify the stock intake and airbox so that it is less constrictive and so it doesnt mess with any of the monitoring systems?

you can replace the intake box with a cone filter like one from K&N. or get a short ram intake kit from AEM or injen

that i know to do but im saying how can i modify it the stock box.when i took it out the whole thing seems rather unnecessary.i dont have any extra money to spend.so how can i modify the stock box and intake.
