Has anybody done a timing belt themselves on a 2003 2.4L eclipse? I'm looking through the shop manual and there are a bunch of special tools listed. Just wondering if I can get by without them. Any other pointers would be welcome.

I have never did a timing belt on a 2.4 but many on other cars, if your 100% sure abt it have a shop do it for you. You could risk damaging your engine if you dont do it right.

 

me and my dad did it and no special tools were needed. but i wouldnt do it if i were you unless you know what your doing but it took us about 3-4 hours
