ok first, i have a 2.4l eclipse. what transmission is in her? and i think she is going out on me. for a while now she has been making this rattle that sounded like a rod knock but went away when i push my clutch pedal to the floor. even when im not moving, when i let off my clutch petal there is a grinding rattling noise. its aweful. now it has gotten worse. i really thought it was my TOB so i changed my clutch setup, and it didnt help. it now sounds like.. the wheels on a train grindin on the metal rails. does anyone know what this is? am i gonna need a new transmission or what? im lost.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
