I have a 2000 eclipse gs. I can't find any engine performance parts such as pistons, camshaft, turbo manifold, intake manifold or any other used parts. I need advice and ideas so please if you have any let me know. thanks.

tearstone.com and rpw.com.au and roadraceengineering.com are 3 of the better companies that have performance parts for the 3g. rpw is an australian company that has real good quality parts but the cost for shipping isn't cheap, and tearstone has good stuff as well. but most people use an evo turbo manifold.
the 4g64 also doesnt need pistons or any internal parts unless youre planning on boosting more then 15 psi

awesome thanks.

What would you think of a 4g63 swap including going awd?

there is no reason to do the 4g63 swap, you can get the head off of an evo and do the dohc swap. but the 4g64 is the same as the 2.0L 4g63 evo motor but its a 2.4L. so all you really need is the head. now as far as awd there are very few ive seen either 2 or 3 but it has been done but theres no telling how much fabrication went into it and i dont remember what all parts were used when the guy did it but i remember lots of evo and 2g gsx parts in it

Yeah true. But if i went 4g63/4g64 i would still need to get the head bored and still have to do other modifications to the engine i mean if i got a 6 bolt 4g63 head of an evo it would still be a direct fit right or would i have to move things around.

the dohc evo head is a direct swap, there are a few parts you need and i dont remember what they i think its pretty basic stuff like the head gasket, timing belt, and cam gears of course. but it bolts directly up there is a how to on some other website that i dont remember i havent looked at it in a long time but i do know its a direct swap. there are other dohc that are direct fit too but i cant remember those off the top of my head either

ok so i just did a little bit of some searching around and i couldn't find just the top end of the 4g63. However I did find a complete engine with 26000 miles on it and nothing wrong with it very clean for about $4000 including shipping but thats a bit steep for me. Would i be better off just getting forged pistons put in and my head bored?

YOU DONT WANT AN EVO ENGINE. You need only the head. Check on Evom for people parting out cars. There is always parts available.
