Default Question for those who own a 2007 Spyder

I'm very seriously considering buying a new 2007 Eclipse GS Spyder as a commuter. I just had a question and I know a Mitsubishi salesman will not give me an honest answer about it so I came here.
Since this will be the first convertable I have ever owned, I'm not real familiar with how this works. What I'm wondering is the electronic convertable roof, is it designed to be opened and closed regularly or is it more designed for limited use? Like can I open the roof and close it four or more times a day without putting too much wear on the mechanicals and electronics of it? In a lot of my experience, I have found out complicated mechanisims like that tend to wear out quickly when used frequently. Is that not the case here?

Default RE: Question for those who own a 2007 Spyder

my old 2002 GT spyder was top up and down every day time and time again and the top was in perfect shape after 45k miles when I traded it in.

I literally went top down first thing on my way to work parked top up, left top down went to the store parked top up left top down hit some rain pull over top up rain stop top back down pull into the garage top back up about every summer day in florida it rains about 10minutes-30 munites a day then its gone every day in the summer
