I hope in 2010 they finally remake the ecplise completely. I'm hoping they make it kinda look like a 3gen/3000gt look. That would be great. Plus I'm hoping they will give you the option of having it turbo charged or not. Nothing against 4gen but I just dont think they look good at all. Just my opinion.

 

The 4th gen is alot better than the 3 gen in every way, but to answer your question, they usually come out with the new generation every 5 years, its normally 3 years after the "face lift" which they just did for the 2009 eclipse. Its probably coming for the 2012 model year.

 

Thanks for the information. I think the 3rd gen looks more like a race car and the 4th gen looks like a space ship. I liked then the came out with the gen4 SE they looked alot better

 

i just visited some sites and could not find anything about future eclipse model (only found Future Lancer Model - 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback).
i feel, it will come on 2010 or 2012.

most every model in the future will be based on mitsus new lancer platform, including the galant and eclipse.

 

theyre putting more love on the evo, which is their strong seller
