Default 2006 Pajero - MMCS

Hi All,

I just acquired a Pajero 2006 with the MMCS. I have looked everywhere but have not found anyone with the same model as mine, it looks different from the others but I could be wrong.

Of course the language is in Japanese and from my understanding there is no way to translate it into english. This is not a major issue as I only listen to radio and CD but would be glad if anyone has a tip. What I am trying to understand is how to play music from the HD and aux input which I see underneath the radio unit. I have tried in many different ways, the power led is lit up and seems functional but it is impossible to select it as source.

I would appreciate the help of anyone who knows anything about this system and how it might operate.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Looks like to me you have an older unit which did not have the HDD. 2006 was the changeoevr year for Pajero models. Not sure if there is a way to convert over to english. As like other MMCS units the input may be for updating software rather than an aux input for music.

Hi Jim,

Thanks a lot for the reply. There is actually the hdd led and it flashes when I insert a CD but there does not seem to be a way to use the HDD/CD as input. I had a better look and next to the aux input it says "key" not sure what it means. I looked for this model everywhere to find a translation or a better idea of the functionalities but without success. I guess there is just not much to do a part from trying all options and pressing everything ..
