alright, after deciding to put the sub i pulled out of my truck into my 00 eclipse i was determined to have rca jacks and to have an actual remote on/off to turn my amp on/off with the radio and not when the ignition is turned on. so, i ripped out my seat and pulled the amp out and then tore into the amp. i then simply soldered some rca ends onto the circuit board where the din cable connector comes in. i also soldered a wire to the remote wire pin from the din cable connector which gives me a 6v signal on that wire. im going to use that 6v to hook up a low voltage trigger that will give me the 12v i ned for the remote wire hookup on my aftermarket amp. i got it all hooked up and temporarily applied 12v right from the battery to the remote hookup to test everything out. it all works perfect. i put the sub onto the rear channels and so far im happy with the results and the fact that i can keep my stock stuff while having the much needed bass from the sub.
