HOW TO: Convert 6-pin Infinity cable to RCA
This link gives information how to convert the 6-pin cable that connects the infinity head unit to the built in amp, to RCA's. This will allow you to keep the stock head unit with aftermarket amplifiers.

Make this sticky, I found it very helpful.

Thats good info, now can you figure out how to splice the cd changer cable into a connector that hooks up to a Pioneer CDX-P650 cd changer?
This is an original Infinity sound system that was installed at the factory. It all works, but I cant find a reasonable priced OEM CD changer.I do however have a spare Pioneer cd changer and cable....

i have a pioneer DEH-P7700MP i took from my avenger and i would really like to install it in my 94GT but i dont know enough about the splicing so if you have a link for that it would be great. If not i will prolly just let the pro's do it.....wiring is not to be tinkered with

Go to a radio shack or ABC warehouse/Circuit City and see if they have this part here http://www.installer.com/item/displa...php?it=71-7001which will plug into the factory harness in your 94, makes things MUCH easier and cleaner. Also, Metra harnesses have wiring schematics on the back of the packaging which tells you which wire is what. Your Pioneer wiring should be the same as any other Pioneer. Yellow=12v Red=Acc Black=ground Orange=Illumination Blue/White=Amp Turn On Violet & Green=Rear Speakers Grey & White=Front Speakers.

What im looking for is the wire color code on the cable that runs from the head unit,to the cd changer. The infinity system uses different outputs on the rear of the OEM head unit to feed the amp.
I was originally going to just use a normal Non infinity am/fm/cd radio in the car,it would fit fine, power up,etc but no audio out.I decided to go back with the original Infinity system, bought the head unit, and amp.
Theres a company that makes a pirepheral adapter called a "mitpil" that I ordered. Its supposed to allow you to plug in the factory cd changer cable, and it has a pigtail to plug into the Pioneer cd changer. It did plug into the changer, but the connector from the car cd changer was incorrect,I sent it back.
I figured since Ive got the pioneer changer, its cable, and the Original car harness, there sould be a way to make it happen...
