Default Alarm

I’ve got a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS NT and I’m looking to put a nice alarm on my vehicle. I’ve got my eye on one of the two way paging alarms; my question is how difficult would it be to put an alarm like that in myself with a couple of buddies on mine that have car experience and car stereo experience but no car alarm experience? Or is it just worth the money to get it installed professionally?

any alarm that can be installed by somebody who has no experience is going to be just as easy to break into. i would leave it to professionals. i know for my alarm al n eds had my car for two days then had to turn me down because the alarm was 'beyond them' and they couldn't do it. i had to go to a specialty shop an it took the guy all day.

well i have no idea how good your friends are but if you follow a schematic and have a copy of the schematic of the vehicle its pretty straight forward. routing the wires is the hardest part IMO. i have the ungo SR5000 remote start 2 way pager remote with a DEI 530T window roll up module that rolls my windows up when i arm the alarm and can roll them down or crack them with the remote as well. i wired all this up myself and i have basic knowledge of electronics. just take your time
