Default Help with alarm

hello- I have a 1999 montero XLS..love it until now...recently the alarm would go off by itself...upon doing a little investigation work i noticed the dash lights informing me that a door was open/ajar...could not figure this as the door were all shut...i ended up disconecting the alarm horn, as a temporary means of not annoying my neighbors any further with the blaring of the alarm..is this one of those mysterious mitsu electrical probelsm i have heard of? any help would be appreciated..

thanks
