sorry, i have no easy solution, but i know on my last eclipse the 4 digit code was written on top, but i had to take the stero out to find this, and of coarse by then i had allready decided i was just going to purchase and aftermarket head.... anyways, now i'm in the same boat as you as i just purchased a 98 gst and i'm locked out AGAIN... i really don't want to pull the stero out to check because it was a mess before. i think you need the code once the battery is disconnected or has died.
