Yesterday I purchased a Diamante and during the test drive I notice the radio wasn't coming on I tried ever number I sould think of and the used car dealer that sold it to me doesn't have it. Can anyone help I was a 1997

 

Car dealership is the only place that I know of that would have it. I would call again and have them contact mitsu. They will need some numbers off the back of your deck.

Or just replace it now for a upgraded head unit.

 

take out the deck and get the serial#, call your local mitsu dealer ask for service dept. they will need that number and the maybe the vin# of your car, they will tell you what to do.

 

I would do those thing mentioned above AFTER checking on e-bay and seeing if I can get one their. There's a couple of ebay stores that do nothing but factory decks. I might also check some of the local salvage yards.

But before I did those things I just mentioned, I would call to get a quote for a new one from the factory so I can get a price comparison (although I'm pretty sure which one is cheaper.) While looking around, I would also check my fuses and other wires to make sure everything is okay.

That's just me though.

 

yea, do all that, you may also have to actually go to the dealer to get the code though, they made me actually come to the dealer to show them proof of ownership of the car, then they gave me the code.......... it was bull****, but hey, excuse to get out of the house............
