1997 spyder trans swap

I hae a 97 spyder with a2.4and a5 speed in it and i want to change it over to a auto.Will the trans out of a Galant work?Thay look like the same trans but i'm not sure.Any help would be greatly appreated.

im not really sure on that. I know they have the same motor. Im sure there are differences in the trannies but its possible that it may bolt up

Depending on model and year both are either th 4G63 or 4G64. Both blocks are interchangable and will fit. In addition you will need the flexplate, new harness, trans ecu, radiator and starter.
