Hi all.

I'm a new car owner of the 1998 Mitsubishi RVR in New Zealand.
My problem is not knowing what type of coolant to put in it, or if it's alright to use any 50/50 mix.
The temperature has been halfway between Hot and Cold for the last two days. It was fine when we bought it and has been on a long journey 2 weeks ago. (I bought it 1 week before this journey and it was fine.)
I filled it up with tap water yesterday before going about my day and that was fine an was back down to Cold. I had asked friends of mine if this was okay, and they said yup. (Please correct if I'm wrong though.)
It was fine until around 2:30 PM I saw it started to heat up again while driving and am going to be using water again as I don't have any coolant yet.
If anyone could help, itd be really appreciated.
